On September 6, 2025, our team of Connecticut Ski/Bike Patrollers proudly participated in our 2nd Closer to Free Ride! This year our team grew to 11 strong — 9 riders and 2 volunteers — all committed to riding and fundraising to support cancer research and compassionate care at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center.

💙 Together, we raised over $17,500 to help patients, families, and care teams who inspire us every day.

We’re already looking forward to getting back in the saddle for the 2026 ride! #CloserToFree
