Historical Info from the region

  • Sep 21: Please congratulate Skip Mudge who ran unopposed and will serve as the CT Region Director for his final term.  Also congratulations to Greg Bruhin who ran unopposed and will serve as the CT Region Alternate Director.

  • Aug 15: Instructors, if you haven't done so already, please take the training course to orient you to the new Learning Management System. For more information, please click here.

  • Aug 6: The Eastern Division has just posted a great video of the Minnie Dole gravesite rededication and new Highway Marker. I urge you to see it. In addition to some excerpts from comments by Major General Milford Beagle, Jr (10th Mountain Division), Cal Goldsmith (ED Division Director), Rick Hamlin (NSP Historian), Chris Castilian (NSP CEO) and others, we meet Harold McAfee, one of the original 10th Mountain Division soldiers.

  • June 21: We have a new CT Region Awards Advisor. Rick Knight will be taking the reins from Mike Bafuma who has done an amazing job for the past few years, breaking ground with the first hybrid/live streamed regional awards presentation in the Eastern Division in 2020, just after taking the job as Awards Advisor. Thank you, Mike! Welcome aboard, Rick!

  • June 10: If you are looking to earn some cash during the ski season, Pahquioque Ski Patrol is looking for a Full Time Paid Patroller

  • June 9: There are still opportunities to keep your patrol skills sharp while earning some summer money.

  • June 6: Fall is just around the corner, really. Check out upcoming Ski Swaps in Connecticut.

  • June 1/updated June 3 (new poster): Hunt Hollow Ski Club is offering their 9th (or 10th?) Enhanced Patroller School on Saturday, August 27. All are welcome.

  • Apr 20: New Members Only section. We will start by posting the Annual Reports for our programs and patrols as well as our budgets. Check back in the coming weeks as these become available. Let us know what you think. What else might be helpful here?

  • Mar 29: Bike Season is here! You don't have to hang up your patrol pack. Stay current and check out opportunities for paid or volunteer bike patrollers at Powder Ridge.

  • Mar 24: Welcome John Boorjian as our new (and first ever) CT Region Historian. He brings a lot of energy, ideas and even some personal ties to the 10th Mountain Division!

  • Jan 19: Read the Eastern Division's Report on the results of a CISM survey to all Patrol Directors.
