Steve joined the NSP in 1983 with Mohawk Mountain Patrol.  He dove right in taking most classes offered by NSP at that time. He soon became an instructor in both OEC and OET. Steve challenged the Senior Program quickly becoming a Senior Alpine Patroller.
Continuing his education soon becoming a Senior OEC Trainer/Evaluator and he was one of the first two OEC Instructor Trainers in the CT Region.

Steve's value was recognized in 2011 when he received his National Appointment recognizing the knowledge, skill, and respect he has obtained.

What sets Steve apart is the way he carries himself and the lasting impression he leaves on those around them. He is highly respected, doesn't impose himself on others.  When Steve speaks, people listen. A humble but powerful person. A quiet force. Leading through presence, expertise, and example.
